NEW WAYS TO PRAY!   We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year.  Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –

  • Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with seven of us regularly gathering.
  • Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.  
  • Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
  • The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
  • And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they'd be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

TGIF/MEN’S SCOTCH & CIGARS - will be held on 8:00 p.m. at John Perleoni’s Home, 19089 Silcott Springs Rd. Purcellville, VA 20132, April 26, 2024.  The starting time will be 8:00pm. 2024 VESTRY ELECTIONS - will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, after the 9:30 a.m. service.  The Eligible Voter list will be posted on the bulletin board in McCray Hall.  The completed questionnaires from each candidate will also be posted on the bulletin board in McCray Hall.  Contact Jen Casey, Sr. Warden or Rob Smith, Jr. Warden if interested in serving on The Vestry.

POLICE WEEK 2024 – Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day!!!  God bless them!  May 12-18, 2024, is National Police Week.  Thank a cop!  We will again have baskets in the Narthex to collect gift cards, snacks, letters of encouragement, you name it – put it in the basket!  Baskets will be in the lobby for the next few weeks until May 12, 2024.  The gifts will be delivered to the Purcellville Police Department and the Western Loudoun Sheriff’s office in Round Hill on May 13, 2024.

JOB OPENING – We are currently looking for a new Office Admin.  Someone who is organized, detail oriented, proficient with MS Office, Google Suite/Workspace & Adobe.  Responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the church under the direction of the Parish Administrator.  20-25 hrs./week, paid holidays, $20/hr.  If interested and for more details please email Paula Simpson, Parish Administrator at This email address is being protected from spambots. THE 2024 BEACON DINNER - at St. Peter’s, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 6:00pm – Let’s get together as God’s Pentecostal people to break bread, have fun, and celebrate.  We’d also like to show our appreciation for all the people who helped make the past year successful.  This includes awarding one extra-special person the St. Peter’s Beacon Award. Dinner will be Potluck.  There is a signup sheet in McCray Hall or RSVP to the office at This email address is being protected from spambots. HOPE FOR HOME - For years St. Peter’s Mission Committee has collected items needed by Hope for Home (home for severely disabled children) located in a village in Guatemala. With our help Hope for Home has thrived and grown. It now includes 2 separate homes for severely disabled children: a third for the disabled who have aged out of Hope for Home but who cannot live on their own.  In addition they have established 2 Birthing Centers that also provide Pre and Post natal services.  As much as the economy is affecting each of our budgets it is ravaging Third World nations, and more children are lacking the nutritional needs to be healthy.  If you would like to keep our blessings of love flowing from the U.S.A. to these needy children just pick something from the list and drop off in the box in the Narthex.  These will be taken down by our Mission group in June 2024.

MT. CALVARY WOMEN’S GUILD –The Mount Calvary Women's Guild Tea will be on May 4, 2024, 2 - 4 p.m. at the church in McCray Hall. For centuries, Christian women have put their time, talent, and resources together to support their churches and communities. As such, the Annual Tea at St. Peter’s is part of this perennial tradition. For 19 years we have aimed to welcome friends, families, and neighbors into our church with a Christ-like hospitality. The proceeds from the freewill offering are put back into the church and have supported various projects and ministries. Guild members are praying and preparing for what is sure to be a lovely event. Please mark your calendars and join in the joy of fellowship and community support.

ST. PETER’S 101 - Sunday April 14, 21, 28 & May 5, 2024, 11:00am. We offer our “Path In” to the life of St Peter’s on Sunday mornings in the library.  If you are new here at St Peter’s, you know that starting new is hard to do.  Do you have questions about living as a Christian or the distinctive way we do it here at St. Peter’s?  For four weeks we will help you explore what we are about here at St Peter’s and how we live and work together as a congregation.  

ADULT FORMATION: FIGHT FOR SOULS – Share a meal, share the gospel. – We are always told to avoid talking about religion and politics with others however, the bible asks us to share the good news of Jesus. What a challenge! If you desire to do what Jesus says, consider joining the Fight for Souls group! Judy Novak leads the group.
