Who We Are
Dear Visitor,
Let me introduce you to “St. Peeps”. We are quite simply friends and followers of Jesus, a diverse and motley crew, rooted in the Loudoun Valley since 1871.
Many of us are new to the area and several have been here for generations. We are conservatives and liberals, black and white, from all different church backgrounds and career trajectories. And yet we are a cohesive, fun-loving, hard-working bunch of people, and we take good care of each other and our neighbors.
I’d love to hear about your past experience with churches. People new to St. Peter’s often talk about our warm welcome, compelling preaching and liturgy, and the “safe” feeling they experience here. The longer they stick around, people discover the creativity of our congregation. Most of our art, woodwork and tech is crafted by our own peeps.
People also notice the great parties we put on, to enjoy each other and to build community with our neighbors. They discover our solid devotion to Jesus and commitment to deepening it in practical ways.
We have good news for people in the Loudoun Valley. Jesus is giving what everyone longs for: power for positive change and real purpose in life, shared in a community of loving people. At St. Peter’s, we actively cultivate that kind of community and we are working hard to make it accessible to you.
Once you’ve perused our site, I hope you’ll take the big step and come to find out for yourself. Visit on Sunday, or by our live-stream.
Blessings,
Father Tom Simmons
