If you would like someone to remain on our list, please send us an update every 4 weeks.
NEW WAYS TO PRAY! We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year. Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –
- Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with seven of us regularly gathering.
- Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.
- Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
- The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
- And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they’d be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

“From that time on Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” Mt. 16:21
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter and then to the Twelve.” -1Cor. 15:3-5
“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is the light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes and abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Rev. 21:23-27
“When I enter that beautiful city and the saints all around me appear, I hope that someone will tell me: ‘It was you who invited me here.’” -Corrie Ten Boom
Next meeting is April 12, 2026 at 4:00 pm at the Novak House

- Cameron McAllister, CSLI’s Director of Apologetics, will address how a new generation of leaders is engaging today’s world with the gospel.
Join us to discover and support CSLI’s vision for raising up the next generation of disciples and apologists, equipped for cross-cultural outreach.
A light dinner will be served at 6:30, followed by the watch party. RSVP to join our watch part today at St. Peters Register at https://www.cslewisinstitute.org/50th-anniversary/ or call St. Peter’s office at (540) 338-4725.
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, MAY 7, 2026, PRAY ‘ROUND THE CROSS – THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY – Pres. Truman established an annual National Day of Prayer in 1952. He proclaimed July 4th, 1952, as the first. In 1988 Pres. Reagan amended the law setting the first Thursday in May as the designated date for the National Day of Prayer. Each year the president signs a proclamation encouraging all Americans to pray on this day. This year’s theme is “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations”. Drawing inspiration from 1 Chronicles 16:24. Mt. Calvary Guild is promoting this event out front under the cross. We will stand on the ½ circle, pray for our Nation, leaders, military and all those who keep us safe. Please plan to join us at 5:30pm for this special event. Stop on your way home from work, before dinner, whatever you are doing. Take a few minutes out of your day to thank God for the blessings of America and ask his protecting hand over our country
