The International Order of Saint Luke the Physician (OSL) exists to promote and practice the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. It is dedicated to the wholeness that God wills for all of His creation. The Order believes healing is an essential part of the teachings of Jesus Christ and should be a vital part of every Christian church, regardless of denomination. The Order also believes that Christian healing and competent medical practice are not averse, but complementary to each other.
Members offer one-on-one prayers for healing following the fourth Sunday Healing Service.

A place to seek prayer
The St. Peter’s prayer team is privileged to offer prayers to our Lord on behalf of our fellow parishioners. Each person who has volunteered to be an intercessor has chosen a certain time each day to pray, and so your prayer needs are lifted up to the Lord throughout much of each day. We call this prayer cover our “Prayer Quilt,” bringing to mind a wonderful image of our varied and colorful prayer “patches” stitched together to create a “comforter” for those in pain.
There are several ways to let us know of your need so that we may pray for you:
- Using our on-line prayer request form
- Calling the prayer team leader, Judi Novak who will contact the prayer team
Please be assured that all requests are treated with confidentiality.
You may also want to check out the broad selection of prayers for many occasions in the Book of Common Prayer, including the Prayers and Thanksgivings starting on page 810. Or if you prefer, consider versions of the Book of Common Prayer from earlier times and other parts of the Anglican Communion.
