PRAYER NEEDS: Individuals and families may choose to have their names placed on the public and/or private prayer lists. The names on the public prayer list are included during the Prayers of the People during worship on Sunday and in the bulletin. St. Peter’s Prayer Quilt members spquilt@stpetes.net pray for the people on the private list. Names are listed for four weeks. If you would like someone to remain on our list, please send us an update every 4 weeks.
NEW WAYS TO PRAY! We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year. Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –
- Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 with seven of us regularly gathering.
- Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.
- Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
- The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
- And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they’d be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

MEN OF ST. PETER’S! – We’re hoping you can join us Saturday, August 2, 2025, as the Men’s Breakfast Group meets in McCray Hall at 0700 for a hearty breakfast and good fellowship; and at 0730 a time of presentation and discussion amongst those in attendance. This month we’ll be discussing: Whose Wife Shall She Be?; a further look at marriage as God created it and as Jesus tangles with the religious leaders of His day. Please come and bring a friend for company as we explore together!
COFFEE HOUR SIGNUP – There’s a signup sheet on the bulletin board for the remainder of the year. If you haven’t served in the last few months, please sign up for a Sunday.
THE GARDEN GUILD – We need volunteers to assist with flower bed maintenance. This can be done whenever you have some spare time. Please contact Deana Czaban (email: kelly_dscm@ yahoo.com).
YOUTH GROUP ANNUAL POOL PARTY – Please join us August 2, 2025, at 3pm for swimming, burgers/dogs, desserts and fun! The party is at 384433 Millstone Dr. Purcellville. Please RSVP to youthd@stpetes.net by July 30th .
MT. CALVARY WOMEN’S GUILD – Mt. Calvary Women’s Guild is meeting Monday, August 18, 2025, 10:00-12:00, in McCray Hall. Please read Joshua 5:1-24:29; Judges 1:1-5:31; Luke 14:25-22:38; Psalm 81:1-94:23; and Proverbs 19:24-21:20
BACKPACK BLESSING – Come celebrate the beginning of a new school year for students, teachers, and other school personnel as we send them back to school with our love, prayers and blessings. Bring your backpacks, laptop cases or briefcases to church on Sunday August 17, 2025, at 9:30am for a special blessing to carry with you throughout the year. After the service, we will have an ice cream social.
TREE OF LIFE SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE – We will be helping to collect school supplies for TOL. . In addition to the list below, they need adult sized backpacks that can hold a laptop, 3 subject spiral notebooks, two pocket folders.
