If you would like someone to remain on our list, please send us an update every 4 weeks.

NEW WAYS TO PRAY!  We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year. Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –

  • Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 with seven of us regularly gathering.
  • Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.
  • Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
  • The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
  • And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they’d be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

LEARNING

Lenten Supper Series – Winning The War Within

Sometimes it’s hard to be good.  Isn’t it?

How often do you catch yourself planning to do something you know is wrong…but you do it anyway?

  • You know you should relax and not be so anxious all the time, but you keep obsessing about it.
  • You know you shouldn’t lie, but there you go again, covering your assets, or padding your resume to impress others.
  • You know you shouldn’t have another drink but what the heck…
  • You know you should forgive – and yet you just can’t forget what he did.
  • You know you shouldn’t spend so much time scrolling on your screen, but on you scroll.

The list could go on, right?

How do we win the war within, as followers of Jesus?

For five weeks in Lent we will develop practical winning strategies, from St. Paul’s teaching in Romans 8.  Join us Wednesday nights March 12, 19, 26, April 2 and 9 Trillium Farm, 18915 Lincoln Rd, Hillsboro, VA 20132.  Pot-luck dinner at 6:30 SHARP, followed by insightful discussion, and practical life skills to Win the War Within, from 7:00-8:00.  We even have activities for your kids!

FIGHT FOR SOULS: Sharing the Word

“So Jesus said to them, ‘Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.  But many who are first will be last, and the last first.’” Mt. 19: 28-30

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.  Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables.”  2Tim. 4:2-4

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Is. 55:11

“Get on fire for God, and people will come to watch you burn!”  -John Wesley

The next meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2025, at the Novak House.

CSLI Fellows Program

Do you desire a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and other believers?

The Fellows Program is the Institute’s flagship, year-long discipleship program designed for those who are ready to be intentional about spiritual growth in Christ, and who desire for God to use them in powerful ways for His Kingdom.

The Fellows Program’s nearly twenty-five (25) years of proven effectiveness in changing people’s lives with thousands of Fellows completing the program now offered in twenty-seven (27) cities in the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa and the British Isles.

Do you want to experience the power of a transformed life?

Howard Hendricks, Late Professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, once wrote “When a person makes a confession of faith and is never taken through a formal discipleship process, there is little hope of seeing genuine spiritual transformation.” The Fellows Program is designed to give you a foundation for ongoing spiritual growth. Gail Thompson, a Christian counselor and Fellows Program alumna, calls it “the single most effective resource I’ve experienced in my 34 years of following Jesus.”
