PRAYER NEEDS: Individuals and families may choose to have their names placed on the public and/or private prayer lists. The names on the public prayer list are included during the Prayers of the People during worship on Sunday and in the bulletin. St. Peter’s Prayer Quilt members spquilt@stpetes.net pray for the people on the private list. Names are listed for four weeks. If you would like someone to remain on our list, please send us an update every 4 weeks.
NEW WAYS TO PRAY! We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year. Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –
- Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 with seven of us regularly gathering.
- Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.
- Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
- The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
- And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they’d be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

GREENING OF THE CHURCH – Saturday November 29th at 9:30 am. All are welcome to join the Altar Guild in the greening of the church. We have wreaths and garland to hang inside and outside. All hands are welcomed! Please contact Karen Wilson or Linda Turner.
MAKE AN ADVENT WREATH FOR YOUR HOME! – Advent wreaths are a beautiful tradition which helps us to keep out sights on the true meaning of Chirstmas. Randy Stoutenburgh will be providing the instructions and materials for you and your family to create your very own Advent Wreath, November 30, 2025 at 11:00 am in McCray hall. There is a $20 cost per wreath for materials. The sign-up sheet will be in McCray Hall. Please sign-up if interested!
TOL CHRISTMAS FOR OTHERS – Tree of Life Community Christmas seeks to bless families in the Western Loudoun region with gifts for their children and students, as well as a blessing for the parents. At our Community Christmas Dinner, we invite these familes to join us for a Christmas play and pass out gifts for their family. Please see our stickey note board in the Narthax to see what item you can bless a family with. Items are due back November 30th. Please contact TOL @ (540) 441-7920 with any questions.
- CALVARY WOMEN’S GUILD – Please join us on Saturday December 6th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for prayer and Bible discernment at Carol Baker-Powell’s home. Her address is 18470 Perdido Bay Terrace, Leesburg VA. We will not be having our regular meeting in December but they will resume on Monday, January 19, 2026, at McCray Hall.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT – Saturday, December 13th @ 4:00-7:00 pm. There will be pizza, crafts and a Christmas movie. Please RSVP to Kathleen Voss by December 6th at katvoss1970@gmail.com
BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE – December 18th @ 7:00 pm. After the service there will be a gathering in McCray Hall for refreshments. If you would like to prepare some baked items, please add your name to the sign-up sheet in McCray Hall. For additional information, please contact Justine Phelan at (571) 577-1749.
LEARNING
PERSON OF JESUS – Do you want to be more like Jesus? The Person of Jesus study introduces a Jesus who is so personal and so rich in love that you want to know him better. The POJ study is designed in an interactive format that lets participants process a fresh way of looking at Jesus’ life every Sunday at 11:00 am. The POJ camps out in the gospels, so it’s easy to put yourself in the scene. You can feel Jesus’ love as he interacts with people no one else is interested in. “That’s the kind of love that can change marriages and friendships. Every person can benefit from learning to love better, and along the way they can learn that they are loved completely and perfectly.” (Brian Morgan, see Jesus’ missionary). Questions?
