The names on the public prayer list are included during the Prayers of the People during worship on Sunday and in the bulletin.  St. Peter’s Prayer Quilt members spquilt@stpetes.net pray for the people on the private list.  Names are listed for four weeks. If you would like someone to remain on our list, please send us an update every 4 weeks.

NEW WAYS TO PRAY!   We have been doing a lot of praying in new ways this year.  Consider joining us or making use of any, or all, of the opportunities below –

  • Sweet Hour of Prayer every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with seven of us regularly gathering.
  • Using our new Prayer Cards on the first Sunday during prayers of the people.
  • Turning the altar in the Chapel into our Prayer Altar, covered with new prayer requests.
  • The Vestry is incorporating praying together into our Strategic Plan and into Vestry meetings.
  • And the latest: Gathering an intercessor team to pray for people in-person after church on Sundays. Once the crowd has left the Nave, they’d be happy to meet with you discreetly one-on-one to pray with you.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – Donations Accepted Until November 17, 2024. St. Peter’s will partner with Samaritans Purse this year in supporting Operation Christmas Child. We will hand out and collect shoeboxes between October 27th thru November 17th. How many Shoeboxes do you think we can fill?

Since the inception of Operation Christmas Child in 1993, over 198 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.  Of those who received a shoebox, 14.9 million made a decision to accept Jesus as their Savior.  We look forward to continuing to help children learn about the love of Jesus through this ministry with the hopes of many more making the life-changing decision.

Boxes will be available for pickup starting next week.  You will find Shoebox Gift Suggestion lists on the table in the foyer.  In addition, Samaritan’s Purse requests you donate $10/box to cover shipping and other project costs.  Contact Darla Voss at (609) 906-0630 with questions.  You can also find more information on the Samaritan’s Purse website at https://samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/mission-and-history/

“Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”  Matthew 9:37-38 “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.  The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.  For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”  1 Cor. 3:7-9 “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good.”  Ecc. 11:6 “The most important thing you could ever do is tell others about the sacrifice Jesus made for them.  The greatest possible difference you could make with the rest of your life is to help others be in heaven with you.”  Ron Hutchcraft  Father, we plead with you today to raise up laborers.  Use us to reach the lost. Next meeting will be held on November 10th @ 5:00 p.m. at the home of Mark & Judi Novak.
